It provides the flexibility to separate oligosaccharides into broad classes depending upon the degree of sialylation， while maintaining the resolution needed for routine analysis based on linkage isomerism. Coupled with pulsed amperometric detection (PAD)， this high-resolution， strong anion-exchange column supports detection at low-picomole levels for enhanced chromatography of oligosaccharides.
The resin of Dionex CarboPac PA100 Columns consists of 5.5μm diameter nonporous beads covered with a fine layer of functionalized Thermo ScientificTM DionexTM MicroBeadTM latex. This pellicular resin structure permits excellent mass transfer， resulting in high-resolution chromatography and rapid re-equilibration. The 3 x 250mm format provides fast separations， and the 0.16mL/minute recommended flow rate results in significant savings in eluent consumption.
